"People don’t want to see clothes. They want to see something that fuels the imagination."
Alexander McQueen
If you like big-lipped pale models wearing skirts as jackets, jackets as skirts, and lampshades and umbrellas as headwear on a runway of broken mirrors surrounding a garbage heap made of props from past collections, than this is for you! On Wednesday, Alexander McQueen definitely delivered quite possibly the most creative show of all of Paris Fashion Week. And it has everyone talking about it; either praising or loathing it. Personally, I applaud the shit out of the button-pushing designer for his show. The collection was risky, entirely uncommercial, intentionally provocative and ultimately pure genius. I've never felt so uncomfortable and equally captivated at the same time. Definitely a must see!!
