Now, I must admit... I used to definitely rock the one-shouldered backpack back in the day. In the '90's shit was unstoppable and if you didn't have one... well, it explains why you don't have any friends today. I kid, I kid. But seriously, it took the world by storm. But sadly some people have yet to understand that it is a thing of the past cause I definitely saw 4 of them parading around farmer's market last night. I instantly laughed because it reminded me of my 12 year old self - I was quite interesting to say the least - and then I cringed on the realization that it truly was quite the monstrosity. Shame on GAP for making me think it was cool!!! Anyways, word to your mother... don't under any circumstances fall victim of the one-shouldered ex-sensation!! Unless... it looks something like this KM Rii Black Thrilla Bag:

... then you are in the clear cause quite frankly it is such an awesomely badass, rugged, and detailed piece of bag. But if it doesn't remotely resemble the above... toss that shit in a fire pit and don't look back. Trust me on this one, avoid that shit like the Swine Flue, Uggs, Crocs, and Joan Rivers! Amen.

Funny, I used to be jealous of people at my high school that had the one-shouldered backpack while I was stuck with a stuffy old two-strapper. Now I look back and laugh... Mind you, that Thrilla Bag is quite delicious...!
