Christian Lacroix, one of the most respected and classy fashion houses, has filed for bankruptcy... well, kinda. As the latest victim of the global financial crisis, the U.S.-owned fashion house filed for a court ordered protection from creditors in France. The petition, similar to Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the US, was filed with the commercial court in Paris, which will decide whether or not to restructure or liquidate the company. I'm crossing my fingers in hopes that CL will be spared and that they better suit themselves for this failing economy.
