Meet Sarah Burman... the new creative director of Alexander McQueen:

The head honcho's over at the Alexander McQueen headquarters have crowned her the succesor to Lee's empire- Alexander McQueen. And it serves her right! Ever since graduating Central St. Martins College design school in 1997, she has been Lee's right hand gangstah - a total of almost 16 years - and has helped with pretty much all of his collections. In fact, after Lee's untimely death back in February, Sarah was able to finish up his last collection with no qualms and the collection itself got critical acclaim from everywhere in the fashionsphere. Definitely a great sign? Kinda, sorta, maybe, possibly? Insiders say that the collection was 80% finished at the time of Lee's tragic death, so I'm not sure how much of it was her doing or if she was just dotting the final i's and crossing the final t's? Regardless, it is great news nonetheless and I'm more than positive she has the right size feet to fill in Lee's shoes. I'm definitely anxious to see what she has in store for the next chapter in McQueen's famed legacy, which she has adamantly vowed to uphold. Stay tuned.
