Sean John S/S 2010 Campaign glimpse

If the rest of Diddy's collection is anything remotely close to the above threads than I am actually intrigued and that in itself scares me. Mr. Combs has never impressed me with his so-called "fashion tastes", so this is definitely new to me. Stay tuned.  

So I was researching...

Lately I've been on the prowl for a new phone (y'all know that I can't seem to keep one intact for more than a month) and I was close to just picking up an iPhone (again) but then knowing how Apple loves to poop out new updated gadgets like 2 seconds after their latest creation... I decided to hit up the internets and see what I could find on a new iPhone prospect for 2010. And low and behold there already are rumors circulating about the nuevo iPhone-to-be. Surprise? Not really, but I sure am excited!!

So what's the speculation? Let me tell you or at least do my best to remember wtf I read cause not gonna lie, technological things get my brain all sorts of confused - so because of my lack of smarty-pants-ness, I'm just gonna cover the main points that stuck out to me:

• Apparently, the new iPhone will be in 4G- which I'm not too sure what that means... I do remember reading that this might allow other carriers to be compatible with the new phone... oh which reminds me, I guess Apple's contract with AT&T expires and it's not sure if they will renew the exclusive contract or have it be a free for all (the latter would fuck AT&T up!!!).
• It's supposed to run on dual core processors and have more legit and awesomer graphic chips that I'm sure will make taking videos and pictures that much more crisper (I like),
• It will also include "multi-tasking" which will allow you to well, multi-task different screens at the same time - which is an awesome feature for those of us who suffer from gadget A-D-D.
• It's also supposed to get a whole new physical makeover too and from the concept featured above, I really hope it doesn't look like the love child of an iTouch and iPod Nano!!! But thinner would be great though.
• And lastly, the feature that ultimately grabbed my attention and makes my heart pitter-patter is that (supposedly) it will have an iChat feature!!! Now, I don't give a fuck about sending messages over that shit - we have texting to cover that - what I'm soo stoked about is the video-chat feature!!!

Fuckkk yeaaaah! How freaking awesome would that be!!! Being able to chat it up face-to-face with someone on-the-go is beyond legit, cool, and sicktastic in my books. I guess that means that there is supposed to be a camera (like on our macbooks) on the front of the phone.. I don't know how practical that would be since there already is a camera on the back... but I don't care... I need them developers to WORK. IT. OUT. PRONTO!

So, I guess for the time being I'm gonna hold out on buying the most recent iPhone. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that this iPhone 4G comes true. That video-chat needs to happen!!!

Her royal awesomeness Vivienne Westwood is a radical fashion genius when it comes to womenswear so when I found out (like two seconds ago) that her son, Ben Westwood, was breaking into the men's fashion world, I just couldn't help but to share the news asap! Allegedly, the collection will be filled with jackets, trousers, and shorts but that's all the news for now [damn]. I have a very strong feeling that BennyBoy will not dissappoint whatsoever and in fact I call that his creations will rock the mens fashion world! Truly and exactly what we need! Stay tuned.

The Sartorialist Book by Scott Schuman

For all you Sartorialist fans.... you are now able to get a hardcopy of Scott Shuman's greatness! All you have to do is wait until it's August 12th launch. Personally, I can't wait! I'm a huge fan of his work to say the very least and this will certainly be a permanent coffee table fixture at my place.

So...

... I just heard that the boys over at D&G might be launching their very own e-store on Tuesday June 23rd. I can't fucking wait! Stay tuned.

Denim-Alert:

It looks like denim-jackets are going to make a comeback and start climbing unto the trend pedestal. But this time around many designers will be ditching the old traditional looks and mixing new textures and washes with some fresh and up-to-the-date designs. I think this denim-jacket-renaissance is highly promising and I'm happy to see such a classic staple being revamped. So be sure to keep a look out for these new denim renovations and introduce them into your everyday wear, I know I have.

Childhood book turns into flick?!!

One of my most favoritest childhood books, Where The Wild Things Are, has made its way onto the big screen. I was completely floored when I saw this movie poster and I'm not too sure how to feel about it; the little kid in me is shitting himself with joy while the adult-me is horrified that they might ruin the greatest book of all time. I guess I'll just have to wait for more headway on the Spike Jonz project. But for the love of baby-Jesus, please let it be awesomely awesome!!! Stay tuned.

Ch-Ch-Check it out!

In two days (March 18th) Valentino: The Last Emperor will make its film debut. The independent movie will be centering around the relationship of designer Valentino and his business partner of many years, Giancarlo Giammetti. I’ve already heard great things about the film through insiders and I’m pretty stoked to see it. Plus, I hear there’s an epic assortment of scenes showcasing past collections since the ’60’s. His pugs will also be making a couple of appearances. Stay tuned.

Cassette Glory

I came across the NVDRS Cassette Tape MP3 Player concept and completely am loving it. The look and appeal is very reminiscent of the 80's and early 90's--simple and nostalgic. The player operates on kinetic energy. As you use your finger to move through your song choices, the kinetic battery is charged. Though, for the moment, the little concept doesn't offer too much storage it is still pretty damn innovative in the whole "old is new" type of deal. Now if they could only add a feature where you'd be able to put it in a stereo and have it play your musica. Stay tuned.
