urban.beachy.cool.

Designer duo Alan Eckstein and Timo Weiland have made me weak at the knees! Their RTW 2012 collection marked the first time they've done a runway show and boy was it quite the cherry popping! Known for their down to earth vibe, this time around they amped up the volume BIG TIME! The contrast of bright reds, mustards, and aquas mixed with forrest greens, browns, and blues was genius! The superb detailing in this collection was also a first and damn phenomenal for the TW team. The chiffon finishes, chambray glory, floral prints, plus the shoes and necklaces... just superb and FUN!! It's urban. It's beachy. It's BOTH!!!  Even though it evokes beach waves, I can see a person wearing it in the urban bustle of any city. It's like beach bunnies/bums decided to grow up, get a job, and move into the city to become chic beach bunnies/bums to surf through the metal crowds. Phen.Nom.En.Al! Plus I'm heavily crazy in love with the floral greatness in the mensgear. KILLER!

Exclusive: Tom Ford S/S Womenswear presentation VIDEO!!!!!

Finally! Us mere mortals can see what gloriousness went down at the ulta swanky ultra hush-hush and ultra exclusive Tom Ford S/S 2011 Womenswear presentation during last year's NY Fashion Week. And what a freaking wait it has been but it's been totally worth it! The high I got from the seductively vavavoom pieces from leaks and select photos from Vogue and Harper's Bazaar UK just got a WHOLE lot bigger. No, lets try GARGANTUANALY BIGGER!! I can't even type right now... so just check it out for yourself while I go run a lap or two.

Bra-the-freaking-vo!!!!! Mr. Tom Ford, I am 150%ly indebted to you for this array of pure euphoria! The mix of a heavy hitting supreme cast of muses (Beyoncé stole the show with her Foxy Brown-ness!) and the alluring and irresistibly glammed up pieces of design greatness is like nothing I have ever seen before! Sex, sex, sex. That is what this whole presentation was/is! Also, the intimacy of the presentation reminds me of the days when Mademoiselle Chanel used to have private evening shows at her Rue Cambon boutique daily. Just breathtaking!

Can you just imagine seeing this in real life??
I vow to the blogging gods that I will attend one of his shows someday, even if it means possibly getting gropped by Terry Richardson! Therapy can take care of that later. Mark. My. Words!!!

'Tis the season of sexiness!!!!

Last night was the television premiere of this years Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and OMZeus, it was the best hour of my life (I say that every year after seeing it, haha!). Once again, there was waaaay too much hotness for one runway to handle. I actually envy that glittery golden platform! He (because all runways are guys?) is definitely on my top 5 of my 'Who'd I like to be reincarnated into' list. You think I'm lying or joking. I'm not. It was just one spectacular array of all things sexy and playful... like a candyshop for adults. It's a win win for everybody; the men go crazy and bonerific, the ladies want to stab all of them for being too hot but now have fitness goals love lingerie, and the gays have an unconditional love for boobs and glitter.. see, everyone is happy! Victoria's Secret should really be in the running to be honored with a Nobel Peace Prize for the humanitarian efforts.
[Please excuse Bahati's crazy face, she was just really excited, and press play!]
And another video bonus of the angels doing some Katy Perry Karoake sexiness:
Oh and I'm not done just yet. After being intensely entranced by their alluring sexiness last night, I feel it's my life's calling to post all of my favorites. So after the jump, it'll be an extravaganza of Victoria's Secret heaven. Enjoy.

Daisies, sandalwood, desert tunes... ARABIA!

I am completely hooked on Alexis Mabille spring shindigs at Paris Mens Fashion Week!! The slouchy laidback fits look like the lovechild of a flower-power hippy, an arabic adventurer, and somekind of lackadaisacal vagabond. Makes me wanna jetset on over to Morocco, smoke some hookah, and trek across some sanddunes on a camel named Habib. Oh, and the poundage of sandalwood beads? Brilliant! And who knew daisies would make a good hair accessory.... for MEN!?? Again, B-R-I-L-L-I-A-N-T! Hah! Although each look has become an instant hit in my books, I would have to say that these looks are the apples of my eyes. They simply encompass a blasé sense of cool-bohemian-arabic swagger and serve as a foundation of inspiration for true summer style. I don't know guys, but I think this is my favorite showing for the Spring 2011 season. Yup, I'm obsessed. Now... where is that old VHS of Aladdin...

It's getting hot in huurrrr!!!

Peter Dundas for sure had me in mind when he designed these tantalizing spectacles for the Emilio Pucci Fall 2010 RTW show. I am unquestionably a pure sucker for long legs and a bare back and these dresses just totally do it for me. And I also love the way they hug and show off a woman's curves just amazingly. Damn sexy.

From the G-Star Fall 2010 lineup...

I really want this on my back immediately. Wait let me take that back. I really NEED this on my back I-M-M-E-D-I-A-T-E-L-Y. Funky, phresh, yet still dapper? Ohhh, yessss!  I am unreservedly attached to the dissimilarity of the canary yellow and the two tones of beige. I usually go dark when it comes to coats but damn this is making me rethink that altogether.

Avant Garde? Pssssh, yeah R I G H T !!!

I’ve never heard of Isabel Mastache before but apparently lady is all types of crayyyyyzy. Usually, I love a crazy mind because it manifests itself sicktastically onto the runway but after viewing her lineup, in Madrid, I’m just thinking she’s in need of a visit to Shutter Island. As hard as I tried to see the beauty in her work I couldn’t get past the heavy amounts of plush vommitt. Everything seemed to be unnecessarily covered in beanniebabies and other puffy creations. But nothing was as bat shit bizaare as what is now being dubbed as “the penis trousers.” Just check it out:
here's a better up close and personal look....
I am more than positive that this is a fashion first on any runway. Actually, it's soo WTF that it's hilarious and I do give Mastache props. I'm still not feeling any fashion greatness from it but it's worthy of some sort of appreciation. Regardless, I still feel that the collection was an epic fail altogether. Isabel claims that her work is "avant garde" but obviously she was hungover when that was covered in design school cause her work is more "obnoxious and useless" than anything else. Sad.

Alexander Herchcovitch Fall 2010 - New York Fashion Week:

Alexandre decided to go all Russian/Armenian/Georgian/Turkish Bohemian Folk on us and it was a legit call! The moment I laid eyes on the garments I became completely enamored by everything. I loved how he was able to take traditional folk dress and make them luxuriously modern with a dash of punk in them. Brilliant! I liked the array of the collection because it honestly had everything to offer; from dresses to outerwear, pants to blouses, and skirts to tights... there's something for everyone. But most importantly can we say D-E-T-A-I-L-S!!!!??? I don't even know where to begin. I'm completely and utterly baffled when it comes to understanding the intricacy of Alexandre's exceptional craft. I mean... WOW. There is not a single inch on any of his garments that doesn't make me feel overwhelmed with greatness. The delicate beading, the ornate embellishments, the chain draping, the studs, the combat boots, the baroque headdresses, the colored folk prints, the plaid, the EVERYTHING!!!! It was all exemplary and definitely unrivaled at fashion week. Actually, it was the best in show at the Mercedez-Benz tents. For sure.

Here are my favorite little hybrid Babushka's:

And because I'm insanely obsessed with the legitally baller headdresses...
And because I'm just obsessed in general, here's some behind the scenes shots...
