Lady Gaga in McQueen at the VMA's = STUNNING!!!!

It's no surprise that when it comes to Gaga, I can't stand when her "creativity" vomits itself onto her outfits. Love her music, hate her fashion costumes- don't get it twisted little monsters! But last night, she kinda wowed me. OK, she TOTALLY wowed me! She looked absolutely stunning in an Alexander McQueen Fall RTW 2010 masterpiece!

The dress is just perfection! The craftsmanship and greatness can be seen in how beautifully it moves and the colors are just so rich and vibrant. But c'mon it's McQueen! Duh! Yet, it's not just about the dress; the hair, the Phillip Treacy headgear, the infamous Armadillo shoes, the... EVERYTHING!! The mixing of tribal and renaissance elements made for such a fantastic visual orgasm! I salute you, Nicola Formechetti!!! The execution is dumbfoundingly perfect. Usually she looks like such an asshole to me but damn it, she DID IT for me!! Tenfold. Well, until I saw that meat dress of hers (but I'm willing to look past it right now- it's not gonna rain on my parade!!).

Oh and whomever the hell did her makeup... CONGRAT-THE FUCK-ULATIONS!!! Dare I say that she looks beautiful in the face? Unfortunately for me, YES!!
I can't believe this is coming out of my mouth but Lady Gaga was absolutely stunning!! Please excuse me while I go lie down. I'm not used to putting Gaga, nice fashions, and beauty together. It's overwhelming.

P.S.
For all of you editorial crazies... this also happens to be the same dress in Gaga's editorial from this months Vanity Fair.

Reason #10,507 why Miss Wintour is awesome...

So after the fancyshmancyness of the Met Gala, Miss Wintour headed to the after party at the Boom Boom Room to bust a move with P. Diddy. Can we say "priceless", "dope" and "legit"!?? Fuucckk yeah!!! I would give anything to watch Annita get down and dirty. For sure putting this on my bucket-list! I'm coming for you Anna!

The p e r f e c t day get-up

I don't even know where to begin in my praising... I think it's pretty damn self explanatory. Straight up styling perfection like I've never seen before. PERFECTION!!

Legit.

I really R E A L L Y really need to get my hands on a copy STAT! Well, that's only if it's actually in the works. I'm not too sure if this is the actual cover or just something someone made but apparently L'OFFICIEL did the same thing when YSL passed away (shame, I didn't know that then!) and I sure hope that this is in fact true and coming out very soon. My only problem is that I feel that it would only grace the streets of Paris and only a select few copies would make it state side. And even then getting my hands on an actual copy would be an intense search. But a search that I would totally embark on. 1000 photos of McQueen's legacy? Yes, please! This would totally make it into my treasure chest if I ever had one. Note to self: get a treasure chest.

UPDATE: It does in fact exist and is currently in circulation!!! Please can someone scan theirs asap & shoot me an email... you'd make me one happy chap! Gracias.

Up, close and personal with McQueen's LAST collection:

Being inspired by Byzantine art and Old Masters paintings, this collection is absolutely superb and worthy of its own gallery at a prestigious museum. I'm also definitely getting an 'Angels and Demons' vibe which I find completely and utterly genius. And once again, I can't get over the mass attention to detail!!! Out of this world astonishing and absolutely รก la McQueen. Bravo, Lee.
His genius is definitely a tough act to follow but I'm looking forward to see who takes the new reigns.

The last McQ collection unveiled.

"Here is the last line created by the late Alexander McQueen for his second line, McQ. With punk touches, the collection features the expressive Yuri Plesku...
Punk is the departure point for new the line, which pays tribute to a key decade in UK fashion. McQueen brings us rebellion, stylized figures and a skinhead look from the eighties.
There are slim silhouettes, striking colorwashes, short-sleeved shirts and classic check shirts: take a look..."

I'm really sad that this is the last McQ collection to be directly designed by Alexander but alas what is done is done. In true McQ aesthetic, all the threads are funky, fresh, playful, and fit for any trendsetting bloke. Definitely another hit by McQueen and that is why I digg this collection NOT because it was his last. Respect the craft not the morbid hype. Amen.

Paris, we will be reunited once again.

YSL. Stefano Pilati. Perfection.

There are no words to do justice to this collection. Even if I tried, I'd fail. So instead just go ahead and view the garments in motion- it's eminence is self explanatory. YSL = Perfection.

Gucci Silver Coated Canvas Sneaker = Perfection.

So I was doing some lil snooping around @ Neimans and I came across this beautiful hightop from their s/s 2010 collection. I pretty much lost it. Look at it! It's too fucking phresh and I can't even fathom owning them! I usually try to stay faaaar away from logos but this baby is just too killer not too respect. I love that they used a silver coated GG canvas and decked it out with silver leather trimming. It's the perfect combination as it has just about the right amount of flashiness without being too gaudy. It's a good thing I didn't try them on because then I would have forsure bagged them shortly after. But for right now, I'm definitely entertaining the idea of making them my next addition to my shoe collection. Mmhhhmmm.

Freja- gentle soul.

This is by far one of my favorite candid shots of all time. I feel like it's such an intimate and softhearted moment with Freja and I can just stare at it for hours. And the longer I stare at it the more I begin to wonder what her true feelings were at the time. At first glance it just seems like a perfectly great dipiction of her gentle demeanor. But then I start to see a small undertone of sadness and lonesomeness in her face. Almost like she's mentally telling herself "Ok, just smile for the cameras. It will all be over soon. Just smile." I really hope that it's the former because the latter just breaks my heart if it's true.

Feeling on cloud 9!

It's Paris Fashion Week!!!!
I have nothing against the other fashion weeks around the globe- but there is something ultra special about the Paris Fashion Week, whether it be womens or mens, that just makes me glow and excstatic. As the shows progress, I can feel their vibes in my body and I'm more than positive that I'm glowing. I just get in a very jovial mood inside and out. Je t'aime, Paris. Oh, and I definitely want to apologize for my non-coverage of Milans Mens Fashion Week. I've been sick with the flu (nope, not the oinks kind) and haven't been able to concentrate much. It wasn't personal, I promise- I'll get to it in no time! So... did I tell you, IT'S PARIS FASHION WEEK!!!! Fuck yeah, mothalovers! Croissants for everyone! Let the games begin. Stay tuned, mon amis!

Get it right, Obama

... this is what I am expecting our healthcare system to look like after your get your shenanigans in order. After all, you did promise greatness.

For some reason, I want this. Badly.

No one in their right mind should EVER wear a jumpsuit but every blue moon one very rare creation comes along that just makes this fashion don't a fashion MUST- this khaki and denim masterpiece by Closed is one of those! Well, I guess it's the whole package that makes it straight up perfection. The styling is completely subtle and simply well balanced. The final look is just divine happiness and I only long for rocking the shit out of the whole look one day. So, umm, Santa, if you're reading this... this is what I want for Christmas. Hah.

Alden, you make me a happy man.

Man oh man, do I have a love affair with Alden shoes. Each time I come across one, I just sit transfixed by its perfectly crafted beauty. The attention to detailing is beyond any I have seen before and the quality speaks light years away. I have mad respect for the their centuries old method of pure vegetable tannage and hand finishing- definitely a rare art in our modern world. Alden is primarily known for their immaculate oxfords, sturdy brogues, and elegant slip-ons but they also dabble in more modern designs, such as the ones featured above, and I love them even more for it. I'm just incredibly stunned by their prestige and it is no wonder they've been the makers of premier mens dress shoes since 1884. So if you don't own one already, I highly suggest you browse their online store catalog stat. You'll be craving them in no time.

Sultry hottie + impeccable styling = perfection:

Morloes Horst is one fine piece of sultry blond perfection and Marcin Tyszka did a legit job at capturing her raw beauty. Although I want to love the hell out of Marloes, the styling is just as sensational. I give MAJOR props to Agnieszka Scibior for absolutely murdering it on the fall-styling game. It's just fucking ridiculous. Job well done on all accounts. Oh and Morloes, you are now one of my new obsessions; you can blame those voluptuous stares of yours- they're dangerously mesmerizing.
